What is infertility?

Planning for and creating a family can be a very special time for many. Unfortunately, for about 15% of the population this time can be extremely difficult, frustrating, and take a significant emotional toll.

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after 6-12 months (depending on age) of regular unprotected intercourse, or the inability to carry pregnancies to a live birth.
