Vulval conditions are a group of conditions that affect the external genitalia, or vulva. They can range from asymptomatic (no symptoms) to being extraordinarily uncomfortable or painful.  

Some of the most common vulval conditions include:

Diagnosis of vulval conditions typically involves a medical history of your symptoms combined with physical examination and often close inspection under a special microscope (Vulvoscopy). A sample of discharge or a biopsy to examine the affected area more closely, may be necessary to help diagnose the condition.
